“As long as I can remember I have drawn and sculpted animals, particularly horses. I studied art at A-level and then went on to do a degree course in Fine Art, where I discovered welding and sculpture on a larger scale, a challenge I relish. The character and movement of the subject matter are very important to me - a few strokes of paint or a few lines of steel can say so much.”

Claire Morris
(Glass Bead Jewellery)

Email: sales@rowanberrydesigns.com
Web: http://www.rowanberrydesigns.co.uk

"I've been a lampwork glass artist for over 5 years, and a jewellery designer/maker for over 16 years. I draw deeply from the U.K.'s stunning scenery, myths, legends and history – this provides me with a great range of sources of inspiration, from mountains, to ancient forests and stone circles. My Pagan spirituality, pantheist beliefs, and love of nature and the earth play a big part in my inspiration. There is always a lot of “me” in each piece of my work."

"I have been working with the wonderful colours and textures of stained glass for over a decade. My inspiration is drawn from the world around me, especially nature, as well as the symbolism of plants & colour and I have always been fascinated by the Green Man. I use leading, copperfoiling and fusing to create tactile, colourful pieces & the variations in the glass, together with my designs, make no two quite the same."

"The British countryside is the inspiration for my work. My sculptures are made entirely of scrap tools and discarded metal items often inspired by one item that then takes me on a journey to the finished creature. If you have any old tools that need a new life as part of a sculpture then please contact me."

"My work is mostly inspired by emotional experiences where colour and line are triggers to my imagination - and looking back I see my artwork as a journey to new developments and experiences. My most recent work "Chasing Lines" is based on the 2012 Olympics, focussing on line to express the feel of speed and the passion felt behind the sport."

"My work is basically inspired by nature but has been described as stunning, creative, dimensional and unique. It was once said in a magazine that my imagination has no bounds. "For a long time my aim has always been to portray the true depth of the subject and also provoke many emotions from my work. I have always found from location to location, the beauty and the scarring, our landscape changes as much as the ages pass. From the scenic,to the sinister. My work reflects this as much as my thoughts behind the lens."

With my photos I am merely capturing the energy and magic of the moment that has made me smile; and smiles are made for sharing!"

“All of my products are made either on a pole lathe or with hand tools in a low impact way following techniques from a time with a slower pace of life.   Cleaving locally sourced wood by hand I work with the characteristics of the wood to produce spoons, goblets and a variety of treen. My items are worked green, allowed to air dry and are finished with natural oil.“

“I began designing and making jewellery about 7 years ago. My jewellery has evolved over years of experimenting and continues to do so. I love to make special, beautiful and fun to wear jewellery. Because they are my personal creative expression, my pieces will always be unique, and one design will never be exactly as another. It gives me great pleasure to know someone is wearing and loving my creations. I like to work with copper and sterling silver, and often combine the two. Other materials used in my designs are lampwork beads by some of the most talented glass artists in this country, glass beads from the Czech Republic, and ceramic beads.“

Carole Howe
(Knit One Felt One)

Email: carolehowe@hotmail.co.uk

"Carole began felting as a hobby about four years ago. A textiles teacher at the school where she teaches, showed her how to make a felt purse and from then on she was hooked!  She loves using natural materials and she finds the most fascinating thing about felting is that the end result is always a surprise – it is not an exact science at all! Often things turn out far better than she could have hoped, but then occasionally a piece is destined for recycling! Spurred on by positive comments and demand for more pieces she expanded and developed her skills and began selling her work."

"Photography has been a large part of my life for as long as I care to remember, from a young age I have admired and found fascination in images that have the ability to stir up a myriad of emotions. Images that can leave oneself wishing they had gazed upon the photographic subject at that given moment in time."

"Established in 1989 in East Sussex and relocated in 1999 to North Hampshire. We run a business with a modern approach, old values and methods of making things from wrought iron and mild steel. It is just as rewarding for us to produce a 16th-century door nail as it is to produce a brand new 21st-century gate"

Talis Kimberley
(Singer)

Email: talis@talis.net
Web: http://www.talis.net

Working either solo, or with her floating backing band, Talis is equally at home in the intimate setting of an Arts Centre or on a festival stage. Her material veers away from the common singer-songwriter self-obsession, but deals with subject matters as diverse as Peak Oil and the BBC commentary on Greek history. Her compelling lyrics are wrapped in multi-layered melodies and arrangements which showcase the songs perfectly. You can never be sure whether Talis’ next song will move you to tears, laughter or dance – or possibly all three
